ANDOVER TENNIS 2026

The 2026 Tennis season is coming soon! Cara Joyce will be returning for her 20th season as head coach, and will be assisted by many current and past players. The team will consist of those kids who turn 10 years old by December 31st (USTA RULES) and a beginner session (for those kids 10 and under). Both the team and beginner kids will receive an Andover Tennis T-shirt.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE
The first official practice will take place on Monday, June 22nd:

  • 8:15 – 9:30 (Advanced)
  • 9:30 – 10:15 (Intermediate)
  • 10:20– 11:00 (Beginner/Clinic)

NOTE: Practice schedules may be tweaked a bit once we start, depending on the numbers of players we have in each group. If you are not sure what session to send your kid to feel free to reach out to me and I will be happy to help with the decision.

TENNIS TEAM ATTIRE – Match Wear
Players are required to wear an Andover Tennis shirt or an appropriate white shirt and appropriate shorts or skorts to the matches. Please make sure your child’s shorts/skort have pockets … especially on match day! The tennis shirts are provided by the team.

NOTE: If any parent would like to order a shirt they will be $15.00.

*TENTATIVE* TENNIS MATCH SCHEDULE
Every attempt will be made to get everyone in a match who wants to play. It will also depend on how many players the other team has. All matches will start at 9am unless otherwise noted. Player lists will be sent out the night before the match, so if your child cannot make it please let Coach Cara know ASAP. Water and snacks will not be provided … you must bring your own. The end-of-the-year tournament for the Patapsco Valley Tennis League is scheduled for July 30th and 31st – at Crofton. All matches for the tournament will be played on the same day, so you will only have to commit for one day instead of two.

  • 7/30 and 7/31 End of the Season Tournament @ Crofton (Ages 18 and under and 14-15 – July 30 —- 13 and under 7/31)

We may add a few other challenge matches for the younger kids against other clubs once all of the teams have their sign-ups and we figure out which clubs have enough kids to compete.
